I noticed the Wiki web site stated that a Goertzel filter:

"...is marginally stable and vulnerable to
numerical error accumulation when computed using
low-precision arithmetic and long input sequences."

That statement is incorrect. Because of that stability misconception, and the fact the literature of the Goertzel algorithm doesn't discuss Goertzel filter stability, I decided to write this blog.
